General information

These Terms of Sale apply to the sale of all Pierre Hardy items offered on us.pierrehardy.com (the "Website"). The Website is operated by Galerie de l'Assemblée SARL (trading as Pierre Hardy), a subsidiary of Maison Pierre Hardy SAS, a Limited Liability Company with share capital of €918,600, headquartered at 15/17 rue de Valois — Jardin du Palais Royal, 75001 Paris, France, registered with the Paris Trade and Companies Register under number 662 006 030, SIRET 66200603000024, VAT FR41662006030 (hereinafter "Pierre Hardy", "we", "us" or "our").

The Website serves customers located outside the European Union and Japan. Customers in the European Union should visit pierrehardy.com. Customers in Japan are served by our local distributor.

Important — Cross-border sales and Global-e. International orders placed on the Website are processed in partnership with Global-e, which acts as merchant of record, seller of record and exporter of record, in its own name but on behalf of Pierre Hardy. When you place an order through our checkout, the contract of sale is concluded directly between you and the Global-e contracting entity identified on your order confirmation and invoice. Global-e operates the checkout, processes your payment, calculates and collects duties and taxes, manages shipping and returns logistics, and issues your invoice.

These Terms of Sale describe Pierre Hardy's general commercial policy. The contract of sale itself is governed by the Global-e Terms of Sale and Global-e Privacy and Cookies Policy, which are presented to you at checkout and which you must accept before placing your order. In case of conflict between these Terms of Sale and the Global-e Terms of Sale, the Global-e Terms of Sale prevail for the contract of sale.

By placing an order, the customer acknowledges having read, understood and accepted these Terms of Sale as well as the Global-e Terms of Sale. Pierre Hardy reserves the right to modify these Terms of Sale at any time. The version applicable to your order is the one in force on the date the order is placed.

1 — Products

The products sold on the Website:

  • are guaranteed new and authentic, in compliance with the law in force and have never been, in any instance, subject to prior use;
  • are offered within the limits of the stock available at the time of the order. Pierre Hardy reserves the right to modify at any time the quantities and types of goods that can be purchased online;
  • are presented with care, two photographic representation is not contractually binding. The appearance of products may vary from one screen to another and Pierre Hardy cannot be held responsible for this;
  • may, in the event that the quantities supplied are only partially or completely unavailable, give rise to a partial order or order cancellation. The customer will be informed by email as soon as possible and no later than 30 days after the order is placed. The corresponding amount will be refunded by Global-e using the same payment method used for the original transaction. No cash refund is possible.

2 — Prices

Prices are displayed at checkout in your local currency and include applicable duties and taxes calculated by Global-e based on your delivery destination (Delivered Duty Paid, where available). Where DDP is not available, duties and taxes may be collected by the carrier at delivery and are clearly indicated at checkout before payment.

Pierre Hardy reserves the right to modify product prices at any time. However, the items will be invoiced on the basis of the prices in force at the time the order is registered, provided they are fully available.

Prices posted on the Website may differ from prices offered in physical Pierre Hardy boutiques or in stores operated by third parties.

3 — Payment methods

Payment is processed by Global-e through its third-party payment processors. Accepted payment methods are displayed at checkout and may vary by destination. They typically include major credit and debit cards (Visa, Mastercard, American Express, PayPal), and local payment methods available in your country.

Payment information is not retained by Pierre Hardy. Global-e's name will appear on your payment receipt and bank statement.

Global-e reserves the right to verify the personal information provided by the customer and to adopt any measures deemed necessary to ensure the security of the transaction, including fraud prevention checks. In the event of suspected fraudulent payment, the order may be automatically cancelled without further notice.

4 — Order

Customers located in any country supported at checkout may place an order on the Website. The list of available destinations is determined dynamically and displayed at checkout.

Every order requires:

  • The creation of a customer account with an email address and a password, or guest checkout. The customer must keep all personal details confidential and must never communicate them to a third party.
  • The provision of mandatory information: name, delivery address, postcode, country and telephone number.

The order process is as follows:

  • Item selection and adding to the shopping cart;
  • Validation of the shopping cart content;
  • Identification (or guest checkout);
  • Review of the order summary, total price including duties and taxes, in your selected currency;
  • Selection of delivery method and acceptance of these Terms of Sale and the Global-e Terms of Sale;
  • Selection of payment method and order validation;
  • Order confirmation email sent by Global-e on behalf of Pierre Hardy.

The customer can follow the status of their order at any time by going to "My Account" or through the tracking portal linked in the dispatch email. For any question about order tracking, the customer can contact Customer Service at estore@pierrehardy.com or by phone at +33 (0)1 53 19 51 44.

For security reasons:

  • No order where a postal restante, postal box, Cedex address, hotel address or freight forwarding address is given will be processed;
  • Pierre Hardy and Global-e reserve the right to cancel or refuse any order from a customer with whom there has been litigation related to the payment of a previous order or who presents any kind of risk;
  • Orders are subject to fraud prevention checks performed by Global-e. These controls are intended to protect the Website from abusive practices of fraudsters;
  • In case an order has a delivery address that is different from the invoice address, Customer Service could request additional documentation by email (proof of address or debit proof);
  • Pierre Hardy and Global-e reserve the right to refuse to process any order where insufficient information has been received.

Items ordered remain the property of Pierre Hardy until full payment has been received.

5 — Modifying or cancelling an order

If the customer wishes to modify or cancel an order after paying for it, they must contact Customer Service at estore@pierrehardy.com, who will do their utmost to carry out this request.

If the order has already been dispatched, the order cannot be cancelled before delivery. The customer may return the order in accordance with our Return and Refund Policy after receipt.

6 — Order anomalies

In the case of any error or anomaly relating to the delivery — namely items not matching the order (wrong style, wrong colour, wrong size, etc.) or faulty items — the customer must send an email claim to Customer Service at estore@pierrehardy.com within 15 days of delivery.

Any claim made after these 15 days will not be accepted. If the customer does not make a claim or communicate any reservations within this period, it will be taken that the delivered item was satisfactory and cannot be the subject of any subsequent dispute.

7 — Delivery

Shipping and delivery are managed by Global-e and its contracted carriers, primarily DHL Express, with additional premium carriers depending on destinations.

Indicative delivery times when dispatched:

  • United States & Canada: 3–5 business days
  • United Kingdom & Switzerland: 2–4 business days
  • Middle East: 4–6 business days
  • Asia-Pacific (incl. Japan): 5–8 business days
  • Rest of world: 5–10 business days

Orders are processed within 1–2 business days. Orders placed after 12:00 PM CET on Friday are processed the following Monday.

To take delivery of an item, the customer must show their ID and sign for the parcel. Delivery times are given for information only and are in no way contractual. Neither Pierre Hardy nor Global-e can be held responsible for unpredictable delays.

The customer must check that the number of packages delivered corresponds to the details received in the email confirmation, and that the packaging is intact, untampered and unaltered. After signing the delivery document, the customer may not contest delivery.

The risk of loss or damage passes to the customer upon delivery of the order. Customers should keep the proof of postage that they will be used by the carrier, in case of loss of the package; no refund will be made without this proof of postage.

Neither Pierre Hardy nor Global-e can be held responsible for any failure to deliver in the event of an error or inaccuracy in customer details. Except in cases of force majeure, items are delivered within a maximum period of 30 (thirty) days from payment of the order.

8 — Delivery anomaly

In the case of a delivery anomaly, the customer must immediately note down any damage caused to the packaging and/or items or an error relating to the number of parcels delivered or incorrect delivery information by affixing a written error report onto the parcel delivery note.

The customer must inform Customer Service at estore@pierrehardy.com within 3 days following delivery in order that they can contact the carrier and carry out the required investigations.

9 — Returns

Pierre Hardy gives the customer a period of 15 days following the date of receipt of the ordered item(s) to return them and receive a refund, including delivery costs where applicable.

Returns are managed by Global-e in partnership with DHL. To initiate a return, the customer must use the Global-e returns portal at https://web.global-e.com/Returns/Portal/oQOD or click "Need help?" in the website menu.

No refund will be accepted after these 15 days.

Refunds are processed by Global-e to the original payment method. To do its utmost to reimburse the customer within 10 business days after receiving the returned item(s) (this timeframe cannot be contractual because it can vary depending on the customer's issuing bank and is subject to payment of the initial order). No cash refunds will be given by the Website.

Canadian shoppers are eligible for a full refund of Duties & Taxes on returns.

The Website does not issue gift certificates online.

10 — Return conditions

  • The prepaid DHL return label must be obtained through the Global-e returns portal, printed and attached to the parcel once the return request has been authorised;
  • Return shipping is complimentary when using the prepaid DHL label provided by Global-e. Returns sent without the official prepaid label, via a different carrier, or from a country other than the original delivery country will not be accepted;
  • The items must be carefully packaged before being returned;
  • Returns will only be accepted if the items are returned in perfect condition with their original packaging, in their dust bags, if they show no signs of having been used and are accompanied by any accessories they came with;
  • The Website asks its customers to take great care of the goods and to try on the items as they would have been able to do in store: on a smooth surface (carpet, rug, etc.) that will not mark the soles;
  • It is only after verifying that these conditions have been met that the Website will be able to process the refund or exchange for the item(s);
  • If a return is made without an Agreement Number, the customer remains the owner of the item(s). These items will be returned to the customer after payment of the delivery costs;
  • Damaged or worn items will not be accepted back or refunded.

11 — Exchange

We do not offer direct exchanges on international orders. To obtain a different size, colour, or model, please return the original item for a refund and place a new order.

For any person who has received a gift item via an order made on the Website and wants to exchange it: the beneficiary will have to request an exchange within the 15 days following the date the order is received and provide an exchange voucher for the receipt of the original order. (See the Conditions of Return section.)

If this selection does not relate to any other item, this person will have to inform the person who offered the gift via the latter may receive a refund.

12 — Customer service and complaints

You may request information, send communications, and be assistance or submit complaints by contacting Customer Service by email at estore@pierrehardy.com or by phone at +33 (0)1 53 19 51 44, Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM – 6:00 PM CET.

Customer Service will deal with complaints by replying via email within five business days of receipt. Customer Service reserves the right to respond only to requests made for the products sold online on the Website.

For questions specifically related to your order, payment, shipment, return or refund, the Global-e contracting entity for your order is identified on your invoice. Contact details for Global-e are also available on the "Contact Us" page accessible through the checkout.

13 — Intellectual property

All elements of the Website, including but not limited to images, texts, logos, graphics, photographs, videos, illustrations, designs, models, icons, software and other underlying technology, are the property of Maison Pierre Hardy SAS or its licensors, and are protected by French, European and international intellectual property laws.

Any reproduction, representation, modification, publication, transmission, denaturation, in whole or in part, of the Website or its content, by any process whatsoever, and on any medium whatsoever, is prohibited without prior written authorisation from Maison Pierre Hardy SAS, and constitutes an act of counterfeiting punishable by articles L.335-2 and following of the French Intellectual Property Code.

14 — Applicable law and jurisdiction

These Terms of Sale are written in English and translated for convenience. In case of conflict between the English version and any translation, the English version prevails.

These Terms of Sale are governed by French law. Any dispute arising from the implementation and interpretation of these Terms of Sale and conditions of sale must be brought before the French courts, which alone will have jurisdiction, except where mandatory consumer protection laws of the customer's country of residence provide otherwise.

The contract of sale concluded through our checkout is governed by the Global-e Terms of Sale, which contain their own governing law and jurisdiction provisions.

Pierre Hardy reserves the right to initiate legal proceedings against the customer for breach of these conditions in the customer's country of residence or any other country in which a dispute could arise.
